The Brookline
N.H. Fire Department has added a “Kids’ Q” BBQ Cooking contest to its already
successful Backyard event. The “Kids’ Q” will be on Saturday July 19, and the
Backyard Contest will be on Sunday July 20. We have also added a Saturday
Evening Potluck Supper for the cooking teams, so bring your favorite dish, and
sample the other teams’ specialties.
The “Kids’ Q”
category will be burgers and the kids will be split into two different age
groups (6-10 & 11-15). The entry fee will be only $5.00 and a good time is
promised, so don’t wait to enter! The application for the “Kids’ Q” and the
Backyard Contest are now on the events page.
We are also
actively enrolling judges for both contests. These events are very important to
the future of competitive barbecue, so please help the cause by providing your
judging experience and expertise.
