Q and a Half Men Win Troy
Que and a Half Men Win Troy!
Victor is back in Massachusetts after Que and a Half Men won grand champion of the Troy Pig Out in Troy NY. The Rockland, Massachusetts based team led by Pitmaster Bill Minahan scored first place brisket, second place chicken, fourth place pork and fifth place ribs en route to their first KCBS grand championship. Local favorites Purple Pork Masters were reserve grand champions of the event.
Meanwhile, Long Island based Stubborn Bull won grand champion of the state championship event Pork in the Park in Stamford, Connecticut. The win automatically qualifies Stubborn Bull and Pitmaster Tim Rohrs for the Jack Daniel's World Invitational BBQ this October in Lynchburg, TN. Diva Q came down to Connecticut from Canada and took reserve grand championship honors.
Congratulations from NEBS to everyone who heard their name called on this busy BBQ weekend!
