VFW Snow Shoe Grilling & BBQ Competition
The Snow Shoe is back again this year! This one-day four category NEBS Ken Dakai Cup competition will help you gear up for the 2017 barbecue season.

The 4th Annual Ridgefield Gone Country BBQ Festival is a CT State BBQ Championship and BBQ Festival at the historic Lounsbury House in a park like setting on one the most picturesque Main Streets in New England. Walk into town and enjoy the Spring Stroll Festivities. This event is very family orientated, great food and music, rides,fun for all and again the 1st BBQ Festival of the season for New England. Each year we strive to be bigger and better. This year we are happy to announce Kids Que, with the proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund! NEBS CT State Grilling and BBQ Championship, KCBS CT State BBQ Championship. We look forward to greeting you again!

Harpoon and NEBS are pleased to announce the 17th Annual BBQ Festival at the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor Vermont. This is a KCBS Sanctioned State Championship for the State of Vermont.
This event will feature a NEBS cooking contest on Saturday the 29th, and a KCBS BBQ event on the 30th. Held on site at the Harpoon Brewery, beer and BBQ will be available. Unlike most BBQ contests, almost all of the BBQ teams are selling food at this event, so it’s a great way to try a variety of food prepared by competition teams.
This event is pending NEBS approval for the NEBS Classic and Ken Dakai Cup Team-of-the-Year programs.
This summer prepare to have your world and taste buds rocked at “The Catskill Mountain BBQ Fest 2017″ a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned barbeque Competition – a day filled with great eats, fantastic music, vendors, lots of prize money and of course…bragging rights!
There will be 3 separate competitions for everyone to enjoy…
1) The Professional Competition: Professional cook teams from all over the country will come to compete against each other for prize money and trophies. The Professional contest will be the standard four KCBS meats: Chicken, Ribs, Pork, Brisket at the standard turn-in times, starting at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 26th.
2) The Backyard Teams: open to locals who fancy themselves gourmets of the grill compete for prize money and trophies. Backyard teams will compete with two meat categories, Chicken and Ribs.
3) Fire Company Throwdown: where our local fire companies (and maybe not so local) go head on head & hose to hose! The Fire Company teams will compete for prize money and a trophy with one meat category, Chicken.
This contest counts for the NEBS Classic Team of the Year.
Welcome to the Great Maine BBQ Challenge, as proclaimed by our governor as a State Championship and
a KCBS and NEBS sanctioned BBQ competition in the state of Maine in 2017. The competition will be
held at Bass Park in Bangor, Maine. Surrounded by the picturesque Penobscot River with beautiful
walking paths and easy access to downtown Bangor, the unique spirit of the Greater Bangor Region is
evident in its charming shops, delicious dining and world‐class performing arts. The opportunity to
indulge in culture and nature will beckon you at every turn and it’s all within a very short drive.
The Great Maine BBQ Challenge will be a three‐day, pet friendly event. Friday the excitement begins
with set up and preparation. Saturday will hold a NEBS competition followed by a KCBS
sanctioned contest on Sunday.
A big hit with the teams last year, now the event is a shorter drive for most of New England, and features a 20k prize pool, one of the largest in the region. (3K NEBS, 17K KCBS)
