Presented in Partnership with the Northeast Barbecue Society (NEBS)
Get ready for a sizzling showdown of culinary skill and smoky perfection at this year's Fire & Flavor Cook-Off, where top BBQ teams will compete for cash prizes, trophies, and the coveted Grand Champion title! Whether you're a backyard pitmaster or a serious competitor, this is your chance to shine in front of NEBS-certified judges and a fired-up crowd.
Event Highlights:
🔥 Two Competition Categories:

Chicken Wings – Only chicken wings allowed. No other poultry or fowl. Cook ‘em whole, split, dry-rubbed or sauced—your flavor, your style!

Pork Ribs – Any pork rib cut is fair game: Baby Backs, St. Louis, Loin Backs, or Spareribs. Bring the heat, bring the smoke—just keep it pork!
🍗 Strict Meat Inspection & Prep Rules – All meats must be raw and unseasoned at check-in. No pre-flavoring allowed. Once inspected, go wild with your rubs, marinades, and injections!
🔥 Open Fire, Your Way – Charcoal, wood, propane, electric—you pick the heat. Grilling, smoking, even deep-frying is allowed. Just no cooking on or in the ground!
🧼 Food Safety First – All teams must follow top-notch food safety standards, including a full 3-stage wash station and meat thermometers.
🛠️ Team-Run Sites – Each team gets a 20’ x 20’ space with optional electricity. Water, ice, ash disposal, and restrooms provided. Bring your own equipment and clean up like you care—because we do.
🏆 Judging & Awards – Entries judged on Appearance, Taste, and Texture by a panel of six. Medals, trophies, and cash prizes for top finishers—plus the Grand Champion award for the highest combined score!
🌿 NEBS Rules Apply – Standard garnish guidelines and judging format in effect. This is a sanctioned event—scores count toward NEBS Team of the Year standings!
