CALLING ALL PITMASTERS & GRILL MASTERS!

Are you ready to bring the heat and compete for glory? The Commanders Cup is officially open for registration, and we’re looking for the best backyard cooks to fire up their smokers and put their skills to the ultimate test!

Sanctioned by the Northeast Barbecue Society (NEBS), this is your chance to rack up cash, win epic trophies, and earn critical points toward the 2026 NEBS Team of the Year and Steak Cook of the Year standings.

THE CATEGORIES

• NEBS Backyard Competition:

  • Chicken (Whole, parts, thighs, legs, or wings—unleash your best flavor!)

  • Ribs (Loin back, baby back, spare, or St. Louis style)

  • Compete in both Backyard categories to chase the Grand Champion & Reserve Grand Champion titles!

• NEBS Steak Competition:

  • Prime New York Strip (Provided courtesy of The Meat Bar Marketplace—show us your best sear and slice!)

• Commander’s Choice (Optional Fun Category!):

  • Burger (Any style, bun + patty, open garnish! Win the exclusive Commander’s Choice banner—no entry fee required!)

PRIZES & PURSE

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place across categories, as well as the overall Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion! Cash prize totals will scale based on the number of team sign-ups, so invite your favorite rivals!

COMPETITION SETUP & SITE DETAILS

• Site Size: Generous 20’ x 20’ team footprints (First-come, first-served site assignments).

• Fuel: Wood, wood pellets, or charcoal ONLY (Electric augers/drafts allowed).

• On-Site Perks: Water, trash, ash disposal, and restrooms available.
