About this event
Learn the art and science of outdoor cooking at the NEBS BBQ and Grilling class.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from award-winning competition pitmasters and BBQ restaurateurs. The class contains extensive demonstrations, some hands-on opportunities, and of course you get to eat some world-class BBQ.
The class will cover:
-
The basics of BBQ such as cookers and fuels. A variety of cookers will be used for the class.
-
Grilling & Smoking meats - the differences, as well as discussions on low & slow vs. hot & fast cooking
- Marinades, injections, sauces, and basic techniques useful in competition or the backyard
- The class will cover some common BBQ meats (chicken, pork ribs & shoulder, and beef brisket), along with some surprise grilling recipes
The class includes lunch and other various samples. This is, by design, a small class that offers a high degress of interaction with the instructors.
This class requires a NEBS membership to enroll. If you aren't a member yet, please sign up here before registering, or look here for more information about NEBS membership.
